My understanding of social design
Perhaps I can only answer the question of what oak trees mean to me if I have first gained an inkling of what significance I attach to the general category of trees. In fact, at first the refinement ‘oak tree’ was meaningless. It played no role in how I perceived or appreciated a tree. The fact that at a certain moment it became interesting to look for acorns led automatically to the need to distinguish oaks from other trees and to get to know their external characteristics.
