Hoograven Invites You!

Theoretical model of a social practice, consisting of an exhibition, symposium and resident meeting.
The exhibition in the Pastoe Factory in Hoograven presented analyses and visualisations and challenges visitors to join in thinking about the significance of social design for urban development.

EXHIBITION
4 October, 2009 - 11:00 - 8 November, 2009 - 17:00

Hoograven Symposium (including report)

The next step is to activate and support these communities in improving their quality of life.... more

Beyond Utrecht

Interview with Debra Solomon

What does social design mean to you?
Social design is about working with what is sometimes referred to as wetware, that is to say people, and working with the sticky, vague, and mutable stuff that goes with them. Social design is a way of working with people, their behaviour and the existing social context as materials.

Could you give some direction to how you would define social design? ... more
